Hi there.

Using CSS, whats the best way to make a menu option a different colour to show which page is currently loaded.

I am using an unordered list in a menu div, and i want the menu choice for the page that is loaded to be highlighted a different colour.

If anyone can help, that would be great.

If the links are manually added to every page, then simply have a different class for the active page.

If the navigation is scripted or an include you can't with CSS directly,

You need to use javascript or a server side script to change the class name for the active page.

I usually create a separate class for this. I'll call it 'current' or something that in that class I define a different BG color for the li item.
