Have you fixed things? I see colored borders around things so I'm assuming you're still working on it, but overall it doesn't look like anything major is wrong. Did you fix the irreversible issue?

I fixed some stuff up..
you see the blue border? that is "wrap" and everything else is supposed to be inside it, but it isn't.. don't understand why.. this happens often, actually.

It's not containing the content because your floats are not properly cleared.

The problem is basically what LadyNRed mentioned. When you float or position elements you take them out of the normal document flow. As far as your wrap div is concerned there's nothing inside it.

What you can do is remove the float on the copyright div and then use clear: both so that it remains below the other content.

HTML Code:
#copyright {
    width:820px;
    height:30px;
    background-color:#262626;
    padding-top:1px;
    clear:both
}
That should get your wrap div where you expect.

thanks for the help guys. the clear did fix THAT problem.
Now I am having a problem with the tabs up top, they have a little gap between them and the main content.

Usually I am good at figuring problems out like this but this is making me feel like I've never touched CSS before.

Glad we could help with one problem.

This probably isn't the best solution to the gap problem, but when I set:

#links img {margin-bottom: -3px}

it closes the gap in FF. I didn't check IE.

I'm sure there's a better solution, but maybe the 3px will help you find where the problem is.

It's the links on the left side, Steve.

There are NO rules being applied to #links-2, and you've got your links inside that div floated left - which it's doing, and they're on the left.

If you want #links-2 to be under #head, you're going to have to float it to the right, just like #head.
