Hi all -

I am trying to center the part of this page that begins with the teal. I have used the instructions from the stickies, and which I have used before successfully. But for some reason, it doesn't seem to be centering. It looks better in FF, but not as centered as I would like, and not great in IE6.

I just can't see what I'm doing wrong.

I used it successfully here: http://www.sciatica.org/ - worked like a charm.

Any thoughts? TIA!

It IS centering, but because your container is 800px (50 em) and your content inside is NOT that wide, it appears as if it's off center when it's really not.
I'd narrow #container to be the same width as it's contents and then it'll look as you expect.

By the way, you need to specify a background color on the body, I don't use standard windows colors, my system background color is set to pale pink (white hurts my eyes after too many hours staring at it). So, what I see in IE is the end of your gradient, and the rest of the page is pink

That did the trick - you are amazing! Thank you so very much - and I also changed the background color... I get so caught up in the details that I forget the most basic ones...

I know that feeling

Just so ya know, I was able to see that using Firefox and the Web Developer extension. Between that and Firebug, it's much easier to ferret out this type of thing.
