Well, start by fixing your invalidly nested code and validation errors:

line 25 column 2 - Warning: missing
before

line 27 column 9 - Warning: inserting implicit

line 27 column 9 - Warning: missing
before

When you float an element you MUST give it a defined width - width: auto won't work. Height:auto is unnecessary, the box will stretch to fit it's contents.
