Im having alot of problems designing this template with just css without tables.
I have almost gotten the rounded box look, but for some reason the right side will not work.

The left colum does not have a rounded top look on top, just the bottom. The right side has smaller boxes with rounded corners that resize according to the content of the page.

The left side column im having problems figuring out a way to put the content. I need to have a thumbnail of a person and then the description right next to it, but when i start doing it like that i just get the text bouncing all over the place. I might use a table for that.

But what i really need help now is getting the rounded look down on the right hand side. Any clues??

Well, the first thing you have to do is get RID of all that position:absolute stuff. It's not necessary and WILL cause you plenty of headaches. Learn to use the normal document flow and floats.

Lots more on layouts here:

No need at all for a table ! Float the image to the left, and the text will wind up beside it.
