I am by no means a master or even a beginner when it comes to CSS.
However, I have gotten my website to look semi-decent in IE7/Firefox 3 etc.

Is there any way to make it semi-ok in IE 6?

It looks ok..but the middle are is spaced down..like someone tabbed the page 30 times and pushed it down.

Its a lost cause, but I am more or less curious to see if anyone had any solutions.

Of course there is .. provided you've done some of the necessary work to start with - like using a proper doctype.

Hacking should be avoided - rather you'll need conditional comments and a separate 'fixes' css file that contains ONLY the code needed to make IE6 toe the line. Try www.positioniseverything.net for a run down on all of IE's bugs and how to fix them.

Got a url for this site ?

Ok, your #content div is not 'wrapping' around it's contents. That happens because you have not CLEARED your floats.

You're getting classic float drop in IE6. Remove the padding-right on div.boxed and the float drop will stop.

Hack codes are a good way to go. If you PM me the site I might be able to make a few suggestions. I have come close to mastering all the browsers layouts.
