Hi all -

Can anyone figure out a) why my submenu item "kris glynn" is floating in upper left hand corner when you hover over "about" Also, is there a way to eliminate the line underneath "contact" I tried changing the id to one that doesn't have a bottom border, but for some reason it just won't leave. TIA!!!

ETA: here is the link: http://www.thevictorygroup.org/index2.html

Also, there is no hover effect in IE6, and the misplacement is in IE7 and FF... TIA again!

Well, one thing right off the bat, you're re-using an ID in your list, you have <li id="nav"> for everything. ID's have to be unique, so make that a class instead so you can re-use it .

Your #container isn't 'containing' anything except the header, make sure you clear your floats.

On that misplaced "About Us" hover - you've got that nested ul set to top: 0, so that's where it's going. You need to set either #side or the "nav" ul to position:relative, then the positioning on the submenu can be tweaked to put it where you want it relative to that element instead of the body - which is where it's going now.

Yahoo! That did it - at least for IE7 and FF - layout still isn't perfect, but at least its in the same area...

Any thoughts on the IE6 tweak?

Have I told you lately what a goddess you are???

IE6 doesn't support hover on anything but the <a> tag, so you'll have to use a bit of javascript, like whatever:hover, to make it work.
