I'm not exactly sure what the proper terminology is for me to explain what I want, but what I'm looking for is a way that when a browser changes vertically, a background image repeats to fill the space. I'm assuming it can some how be done via CSS. Below are two screen shots of what I mean. In FireFox (at least on my screen), the web site fits properly vertically (a smidge over, but that can be fixed if I can find a way to do this)...Alternatively, in Safari there's a lot of white space beneath the web site...

I can't do the body background image because I need that for the horizontal repeating background (which at the time of this writing, I haven't gotten to yet).

Ok, so make another div, call it "container" or something and put this repeating image on IT as the background. The default behavior is to repeat to fill the div, to repeat just vertically, you need to set it to repeat-y in the CSS.

That is in there but it doesn't stretch all the way to the bottom.

There is no "wrapper" tag and you shouldn't be using that antiquated method to center. Using HTML 4.0 Transitional Loose doctype is like going back to using a dial phone - and it's sloppy. If you want to take full advantage of modern CSS methods, you need to step up that doctype to at least HTML 4.01 Strict.

Yes, something like that. That's not working right though. I need the background to be centered and to move with the browser width as it adjusts.

I'm also having issues with those darn arrows not moving when the browser width adjusts...

Yes, I know the <center> tag is inappropriate in most circumstances, but the Javascript content scroller won't center if I use the standard centering method. I've tried it.

And you're right about the darn doctype. Didn't even notice that. I had a computer crash and I had to revert to my older versions of Macromedia (I was stupid and didn't do backups of my software) and didn't realize the doctype would be different. Fixing now!
