Can anyone help with this? I've tried running it through FF Firefly and error console and can't quite see what is happening here.

When I don't have a background color on body, the lines go all the way to the bottom. But once I add the background color, it creates the box and keeps it from flowing. Any thoughts? TIA!

Not sure if I see what you are talking about. I tried removing the background color on the body and nothing seemed to happen (besides the color vanishing). You may want to fix some of the errors in the validation report: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...timonials.html There are a few troubling details in there.

Thanks for the validation suggestion. I will definitely take care of that asap.

I think this page shows the problem better:

The center content keeps continuing, but the "cont" element seems to just... end. Any thoughts? TIA!!

I didn't even try and find your problem because honestly you should just reorganize your code...you have to many div tags that you don't need and you are floating alot of stuff to the left but have nothing to complement on the right.

The easiest way to achieve what I think you are trying to achieve is slice an image that is like 5 px high with your entire white content background with the lines in it. Then you can just have basically 3 main div tags:
1. Header div
2. container (this will have your repeating background with the lines and you can put smaller divs inside this for content and menu and such)
3. then footer div.

This will keep you code a whole lot cleaner, it will be easier to create and edit, and it will be more SEO friendly. Not to mention it will significantly decrease your headaches for browser compatibility because alot of divs and floats brings alot of interbrowser issues. Hope this helps, good luck.

From what I can see, #content is not stretching because you have not cleared your floats, or it doesn't appear anywhere that you have. Fix that and I don't think you'll have any more problems.

And where does it say that that is even necessary ???? Simple.. it doesn't because it's not.
Not all layouts can be achieved with 3 'simple' divs, and there are MANY reasons why more than that may be needed. The code doesn't suffer from div-itis at all, IMO.

I think you need to remove the height: 100% from div#content. 100% heights often don't do what you think they're going to do and in this case I think it's causing the problems.

I did try clearing the footer, but it didn't seem to do the trick. It was the only div I attempted to clear though so I may have just chosen the wrong div or not enough divs. I was thinking the same thing as LNR above about the floats.

Taking the height: 100% off of div#content worked for me so it might be something to try.
