remove the height from #bgImgContact, it is forcing the div to overflow the bottom, despite all of the clearing.

I cant remove the height unfortunately. When the form is submitted you are just presented with a small div giving you the result. So If I removed the height then the background image of the containing div would be cut off! :S

Then make it into min-height. This will allow it to expand. In IE6, however, you will have to leave it as height. This is because IE6 interprets height as min-height. Change it to min-height in your normal document, then send a conditional comment (or however you prefer to target this browser), reverting it to height in IE6.

Thanks now it works! I'll probably target the browser using JavaScript to keep the CSS valid.

Just use a conditional comment, or else use this (super secret) CSS hack:
CSS
Code:
#bgImgContact {
height: auto !important;
min-height: 460px;
height: 460px;
}
Perfectly valid, and will validate. IE6 is a bit of a screwball, and thinks that "height: 460px" takes precedence over "height: auto !important;", because it occurs second in the statement. The better browsers know that !important overrides everything.
