Suckerfish dropdowns maligned in IE

The bane of my existence, once again, has halted my web design. Yes, I'm talking about Internet Explorer.

http://twinskiesnavigator.com/

If you hover over "places", for example, you'll see a dropdown in Firefox. It's below the image. Now in Internet Explorer, you'll see that the dropdown actually goes out towards the right.

Now, I know with the collective genius, the fine members of this forum can help me solve this problem, while keeping it working in Firefox and Safari.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you can help!

Well I was having the same exact problem with a site I am working on at http://www.cobblestonehall.com/events.html
In FF no issues, in IE the drop down boxes were way over to the right and not below the top links. A friend finally helped me and said the IE issue was due to "the script was already "contained". the different browsers rendering differently."

It drives me nuts that the 2 browsers render things differently. So after I FINALLY get the drop down menu issue fixed, the image transitions are different in the 2 browsers. In IE they fade and have a smooth transition, but in FF they just change with no effect. Maddening.

Sounds like the classic IE doubled float margin bug:

Use conditional comments to put the fix in for that section.

Your hovers don't work at all in IE6, and neither do your transparent PNGs.

Umm.. I think you need to take a look at it with IE6, it's far from resolved.

No argument there !! The worst offender is, of course, IE6. You might want to read thru the list of bugs and the fixes here: www.positioniseverything.net
