I am going to have some divs that are rows and I would like them to be alternate colors: one red, one blue, one red, one blue etc

Is there an easy way to do this or does a different style have to be applied to each 'row'?

You can't do this automatically with CSS, and must apply a class or style to each row. However, there are some nifty ways to apply the classes automatically with JavaScript.

Well, with the jQuery library, this is super simple, and is done like this:

$(document).ready(function() {
$("#myTable tr:even").addClass("red");
$("#myTable tr:odd").addClass("blue");
});

With straight JavaScript, without a library, it is a bit more complex, but not that hard. However, this is the wrong place. If you start a thread in the JavaScript channel I'll help you over there.
