I was wondering how to do this easily a designer is creating me the template in psd format I was just wondering what is the easiest way to make this template convert over after it is sliced for zen cart? Does anyone have a good method? Please share.

Yikes. That's going to be a messy, messy process. I use ZenCart, but I don't just convert a PSD file and ta-da it's done.

Here's a ZenCart I've been working on for a client. What I actually do is use the basic ZenCart template and wrap my design coding around it in the index.php file. Probably not the best way to do it, but it's the best thing I've ever been able to find that works and is fairly easy if you're fluent in code.

Their are no specific directions that I've ever been able to find in the 2-3 years I've been using ZenCart. If you don't know what you're doing, I suggest contacting someone that does and having them do it. It's not a simple process and it is not easily explained.

Sorry, but $100 isn't going to get you very far. You'd be lucky to get someone to code the initial XHTML template you would need to start for $100. To code a customized ZenCart you're looking at $500-10,000 depending on complexity and company pricing (heck, just to get SSL certification you're going to pay a yearly $100+). Quality isn't cheap in anything, and that includes coding.

If you can't afford the expense right now, I would suggest is start your cart out with one of the stock templates and after the cart is rolling and you have income coming in from it, then acquire a programmer to customize it for you.
