Hi,

New to CSS and design totally. Just learning Dreamweaver so this was originally coded in notepad.

I have a site where the menu looks o.k. in Firefox but in IE it's adding a little block of graphic above the menu where it shouldn't be. Still works, just looks really bad and the site looks bad enough without this error.

I've hunted for what I might have done wrong a bunch of times but don't know enough about CSS yet to have a clue.

Thanks in advance for any hints given.

There's an extra background declaration in hb_leftmenu.css at #leftmenu which is
background-image: url(http://hoopbuilding.com/grafx/menubg2.jpg);
i think you don't need that. That's for the extra image you see, now for the left padding i see IE7
i wish i had more time to help but i don't

You're wonderful! Thank you so much for taking all that time to find something I couldn't figure out for days. I appreciate you had to dig through several CSS files.

I will fix the ie7 padding eventually. I am going to do a whole new version of the site as soon as I get this one all finished and working.

In the meantime, I'm learning CSS at Lynda.com and from here so that should help.

Again, thank you for your quick help.

If you are using Firefox there's an excellent addon called Web Developer Toolbar and you are just a click away from seeing any site's CSS easily

Wow, that is really cool! Does a ton of other site stuff too! Some of which I'm not even sure I should be looking at, LOL.

Thanks for this great tip also.
