Good Day.
I am a Designer/Coder and like many if not all I am having real trouble with IE6. I have searched the forums and found countless threads about IE6 and it's crappyness.
Right now I found I option to test the pages in the IE6 browser. It is a standalone version from evolt.org
I have also searched today for a standalone version and found a nice one at dhtmldev.com. Here is a link to the archive with Internet Explorer 6 from the site:
www.epic-labs.com/IE6Eolas.zip It is a fast direct link. I would have attached the file to the post but there is a 100kb limit.

So here you go, IE6 for testing.

Now for everyone here I would like to start a discussion about IE6, which CSS it supports which it does not. Some tips and tricks with code preview of the working and not working versions of the html/css.

I hope you will like the idea and I am sure if we collect the knowlegde in one thread everyone will profit.

Regards, Rebrain

There are endless discussions on IE's flaws, and sites everywhere with full solutions - such as www.positioniseverything.net.

If you have a version of IE6 that has all the last and latest patches, then the biggest pain - the box model bugs - have been fixed with the patches. What remains is the has-Layout nonsense that still exists in IE6 and, to some degree, in IE7.

Once you deal with it enough, it won't be difficult to support. I still spend more time than should be needed, however.
