Hi All,
More problems with my shonky site. I seem to have what appears to be a bug in ie - but im unsure how to fix it.
I actually think its a z-index bug in IE– I’m sure I have come across it before.
My upper menu in ie gets 'mixed up' with the underlying content and that shows through and stops working etc.'
I took the opacity out of the css as far as i could see . And it was still there.
It only seems to effect the product detail page - http://www.uk-computers.co.uk/products.asp?partno=KL6028UEAFS for example.
It seems to be apparent when it crosses the Td #productscontent form – either side of the form it is ok.
All the other pages seem to be ok also.
It looks fine in firefox chrome and opera- but as usual IE is having a hissy fit.
I wonder if anyone could tell me what is the porblem/fix here .
Many Thanks

using a proper doctype would be a start.

The trouble is chris that this is a store backend called Evolve aimed at the IT industry, although i do have control over sections on the page - i have no control over the doctype and what not. The sections - product detail and what have you are templates applied to certain sections of the page - there is also validation problems.
Is there anything else you could suggest?

IE most definitely has issues with positioning and the way it 'layers' with z-indexing. You can read more about it here:
