Please help me with CSS.

Each page of this website is a different height. I want the grey column on left to extend to footer on every page. Currently it is set as a grey attribute for sidebar color.

Thx in advance for any help you cana give me.

Cheers,

JT

I'm not sure, but I'd say height: 100% would work.

There's problems with height: 100% used purely as-is. There is a sticky about this: http://www.webmaster-talk.com/css-fo...l-browser.html

That's about page-filling DIVs right?
height: 100% just takes the height of the container, which I think is needed in this case.
In the case of a screen filling page it does exactly the same but the container doesn't fill the screen.

I think the faux-columns method is your best bet in this situation - it'll save you a LOT of aggravation:

Ah, I misunderstood what was needed here. Still, 100% height has a lot of issues, especially with IE6. The best thing to do is follow the faux columns suggestion given above.

Thx everyone.

Went with the background image (as on A List Apart), although placed it in container, not body. Seems to be working. http://www.cornerstonemed.net
