I'm not sure why this is happening. My background is 3600x10 px, and is centered with:
background: url(image.jpg repeat-y 50% 0)
but will not show up on both edges of the top half of the page. I've tried adding a background to the main body and html tags, and I've made sure all other divs have width and height assigned so i know that they are not interfering. Not to mention, the background that will not appear is outside of the main 1200px container div anyways, although it is showing up below.
This seems too simple. Someone please tell me what obvious detail I am looking over! Thanks in advance!
Ahh, whoops that was a typo while I was in a rush earlier. It is in fact displayed as the latter, rather than what I originally posted. Thanks for the quick response though. :P

Actually Chris, it appears the same in all browsers (tested w/ FF3, IE6, Opera, Chrome, Safari). Perhaps you have a lower screen resolution and cannot see it on the edges? Here's a screen shot of the problem.

Would you say that 2560px over two 19" monitors would be big enough?

considering that you actually tell the background image to start repeating from 50% down the page, it seems to be doing that quite well.
