Hi on my webpage, www.majormusiccontacts.com I have a menu on the top. And I'm trying to change the "BUY A&R Contact List" to the color black, that way it is easily visible.

How can I make just one hyperlink black.

Thank you very much.

The best way to do it would just be to override the colour with a style tag like this:

Code:
<a href="aandr.php" style="color: #000000;">A&amp;R</a>
#000000 is the color black. You can replace it with the colour name, like black, white, red, blue, etc, if you want.

I don't mean to be patronising... Just in case you don't know.

Cheers

It is NOT a style "tag" it is a style attribute!

Do NOT use inline styles for such a change.

Create a class and apply it to the link.

He's absolutely right!

It is PROBABLY bad practice to apply the style via the attribute like that. But, it will work, and if it's just for 1 link and will always be for just 1 link, that's how I'd do it.

But it would be best to do it "chrishirst's" way.

Thanks for the correction.

That I can help you with!

First, you need to edit your CSS file which (I think) is in css/master.css.
Add the following:
Code:
 .link_black {
color: #000000;
}
The full-stop/period . before the name means you are defining a class.
Then add the class "attribute" (thanks chrishirst ), referring to the style you just set up:

Code:
<a href="aandr.php" class="link_black">A&amp;R</a>
Horray, I'm helping!

Cheers

In your CSS file, you have

Code:
 .link_black {
color: #000000;
}
You need to remove the space before .link_black

I'm a genius!

I had to download your web page and play with it to work it out.

Because your menu items are wrapped in a div and you define the links within this div, you need to make the override class refer to this div.

So the code in the CSS file actually needs to be:
Code:
#main-nav .link_black {
    color: #000000;
    }
Cheers
