Hi Everyone,
I found this forum through google and read a few threads, great stuff. I am in the process of making a website, and so far all is well except one problem. The site's text is aligned perfectly in firefox, but its messed up in internet explorer. I'm a noob, and this is my first site, any advice is appreciated. I've done a little research and understand that I should use a DOCtype so everything is standard, which I did. Here is the URL, view it in both browsers if possible.. http://www.flixreviews.net
I have a table with two colums.. left side with the pictures, right side with the text.. as you can see, the text is not aligned with the picture in IE, but is, with firefox..
Please help.. its driving me nuts! Thank you.

Hi Tesh
Fair play to you for trying good effort on your behalf as for the text to me it looks pretty much the same in InternetExploder as well as FireFox. As for the doctype well your page has over 22 errors but that could be resolved properly using css i do believe. how did you come across to making the site in that way and what was your motive or inspiration just out of interest?

it looks ok for a personal review website like the kind you would share with family and friends but not overloaded and with lots of content on it like you would see with a more professional one. Not saying its not professional lol

hmm it i see what you mean now tho you want to get it so its the same as in firefox. I see what you are saying and i see what your problem is.

You simply need to enter a few more rows into your table and then have the image perfectly level with the text on the right. its easy.

Twilight’ is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a
teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always
been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the
trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries
and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of
Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change.
Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen
(Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Edward is a
vampire, but he doesn’t have fangs and his family is unique in that
they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward
sees straight into Bella’s soul. Soon, they are swept up in a
passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is
what he has waited 90 years for — a soul mate. But the closer they
get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her
scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what
will Edward and Bella do when a clan of new vampires — James (Cam
Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) —
come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life? </td>
