I am trying to make the shadow stork lie above the grass. It shows ok in FF but won't work in IE. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks in advance - http://67.43.10.115/~lawnstor/

Get rid of the tables for layout and use CSS properly then adjust the stork where you need it to go. The use of z-index is pointless unless the image is positioned and you probably don't need to position it at all - once you get rid of the tables.

Yes, I know.. been there, done that . Once you get away from tables for layout, you'll find out how much better it is, at the very least you'll save a TON of time on maintenance and redesigns

If you need help, just c'mon back with your questions.

and use 8-bit png or gif for the clipart style pic front_pic.jpg instead of jpeg.

in fact all those images that haven't got complex gradients should be gifs/8-bit pngs

only images that are photographic or have gradients *too* complex for gifs to reproduce with a limited colour palette should be jpegs
(like those buttons with the radial gradient button_shop.jpg)
