I am making a website where there is a div for a side bar, and a div for content. I want the div for content to be able to stretch dynamically (NO fixed heights)

The side bar needs to be able to stretch as well, but stretch WITH the content div.

So i tried, to make it and spent hours on it. It is probably something really lame and stupid. But this is what it keeps doing:

Yes, columns will only be as high as the content that is contained in them without a fixed height. The work around is called faux column. Here are a couple of links to get you started on the theory behind them. Google faux column(s) and you will get many more results.

This is the DEFAULT, it will happen automatically!

Faux columns is the easiest way to go.
