I know that the if code for IE is:

HTML Code:
<!--[if IE]>
But what is it for Opera/Chrome/Safari, I cannot seem to figure it out.

Is there one for it at all?

Thanks,

This is just an IE specific command. The other browsers just view it as a comment.

You'd likely want to use some kind of browser detection via JavaScript. However most of the time all the other browsers will play nicely with your css and only IE won't. That's why the conditional comments are a nice way to direct browser specific css to IE. Usually it's only IE that needs the specific css.

Well, they play nicely other than one minor thing, but its visible. Didnt know if there was a quick fix or not.

There is at least one better fix than the conditional one; be sure of that.

And what would that be ?? The conditional comments solution is actually the best method.

This is definitely a design issue, and can be solved one way or another by CSS alone.
No need for any fancy (and unreliable) JavaScript or similar.
This is my opinion, of course.
(and conditional comments indeed rule IE<8 )

Usually the only answer needed to solve display differences between say, Firefox, and Safari, is to simplify your code so that you say what you need as briefly as possible. When you start getting into browser detection or whatnot, you are needlessly complicating things for yourself.

Brandon if you haven't worked out your issue feel free to share the code or post a link to the page in question if it's online. I'm sure we can help you sort things out without the need for browser detection.
