Hi to everyone,
I'm a new member. I always worked in full-time position and now I decided to start by my own. I got my first client and I need some help.
which would be a reasonable price for 2 mockup (table-less)- The main page and the interior one? The design is already done in psd, so the only thing I must do is the CSS code. This is a profesional job, right? Thanks

Hi,

Since you are new in business so initial few clients are very important for you and would be the most tough to get on board, so when I got started I used to do mock-ups for free. One more things you can do save the PSD as JPG and show it to your clients so that they can see how you have visualized their home page but it in the mock-up the client needs sliced page then determine for yourself how much does it cost you to work per hour ad a little bit to it and take it as your hourly rate, now identify how much time you will take per mock-up slicing and multiply it with your hourly rate to get the price you should charge.

All the best and welcome to the world of entrepreneurs!

Cheers,

~Maneet

^ yeah.

so...

you say that you worked full time before, right? well..

Hourly Full Time Wage + % (25-50%?) X amount of time (per hour) it takes for you to make XHTML + allow some hours for debugging/revisions = your price.

for example:

your full time hourly wage is/was: £10ph so add a bit more; let's make it £15 ph for freelance.

£15 per hour and it takes you 3 hours to slice plus allow 2 hours for revision, support and debugging so total time is 5 hours thus; £15ph x 5 hours = £75.

£75 to XHTML it!

of course everyone has their method and price so you should do what you think you could get - if it's £50 or £200 - everyone has a price!
