I am having a strange problem. I cannot get the link psuedo classes to work unless I add it as an internal style. Then it works fine...? I guess i need to know how to add multiple psuedo classes, in an external stylersheet, but this is a new problem to me.

I only used 1 internally but none of my hover effects work at all

Code:
a:link {font:normal normal 800 17px default;color:#33336E;}
a:visited {color:#FF4500;font-size:16px;text-decoration:none;}
a:hover {color:#0099FF;text-decoration:none;}

a.image:link {text-decoration:none;color:#333;font-size:20px;}
a.image:visited {text-decoration:none;color:#000037;}
a.image:hover {text-decoration:underline;size:20px;}

a.main:link {font-size:16px;color:#323232;text-decoration:underline;font-weight:bolder;}
a.main:visited {font-family:default;color:#B22222;text-decoration:none;}
a.main:hover {color:#0099FF;font-style:oblique;}

a.sub:link {text-decoration:underline;color:#33336E;font-size:18px;font-weight:450;}
a.sub:visted {font-family:default;text-decoration:none;font-weight:680;}
a.sub:hover {text-decoration:none;color:#3399FF;font-weight:900;}
That's the current style declaration for http://12feetunder.com/ right now...I've been editing the image class and none of the effects show up. i even mixed up the order ( hey it didn't work in the correct order ). I also tried IE on a local file and still no hover effect.

What can be the problem?

There is a BOM (Byte Order Mark) in your CSS file.

Usually caused by using Notepad and saving files in UTF-8 format.

I do use notepad and tried resaving it in ANSI format but had the same problem. I always used notepad without problems until Vista

Do i need a special program to edit CSS?

Should I create a new file and copy my info over?

Is it a problem with Vista?

It's a problem with all UTF-8 capable OS/Editors

The cure is at ->
