I am working on a page and it is fine in FF Chrome and IE 8. In IE 7 the countdown field has dropped below.

I have been working on this for over 2 hours. Hope one of you gurus can help me out.

Thanks.

Try changing the span to inline instead of inline-block. If it fixes the positioning problem, you should be able to just add some margins and/or padding to fix the new issue with spacing.

That didn't do it. I am able to fix it with a stylesheet for IE7 but thought there might be a better way.

Conditional comments and a separate 'fixes' css file for IE is the generally accepted method for dealing with IE's bugs.
