Trouble with IE7 and position: absolute

Hi all - I'm really hoping you can help me. I've been struggling with this for a few hours now. Grrr....

To see how the site should be performing, see this link in Chrome, FF, etc.

http://www.jessweiss.com/lal/index2.html

To see how it is going so very wrong in IE 7, well, check it in that browser. As you can see, the lightbulb is nowhere to be found. If I remove margin-left from the primary style sheet, style1.css, it works fine in IE7, but the lightbulb goes all the way over the left in FF and Chrome. I've tried a conditional style sheet for IE 7, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I've tried the star plus hack in style1.css itself, but still, no fix.

I tried clearing the floats, which completely broke the layout.

Any thoughts?

TIA!

So, apparently thirty-third time is a charm - I think I may have fixed it - instead of creating a new class, I used the *+ hack within the existing class...

Can anyone tell me if I'm incorrect?

Thanks!

set position:relative on banner_outer instead of using "hacks"

That way you are using the rules for position absolute CORRECTLY!!!
