Hi,

i could really do with some help on a new website im doing for a charity.
basically i dont think i understand how floating works properly, and ive tried reading up on it.

I did the home page for a wbesite to get the layout etc. When i was working on it locally the site displayed fine. When i uploaded it to our test site the footer started behaivng really oddly. With the top border positioning at the top of the page and the text where it should be!

If someone could help me out id super appreciate it.
Ive checked the width of the divs compared to the main one, and the numers seem to add up.

also, the header div is totally not displaying on test site!

Anyway, any help would be really appreciated.

looks like a float issue to me. you need to clear them:

Can I ask you which div I should clear? Ive read the link you posted, thanks for that, but something is still not clicking, becuase i dont understand.

Does matter, ive sorted it.

I read the float post you linked for me, then read it again, and then read it again!

So after all my head ache all i had to do was clear the floats for the footer! Im such a fool!
