never seems to fail. I will eventually find it, but if somoene can help spot it please do.

http://www.outdoorsindoors.net/DEV/M...Products/index

objects in question are the featured product header, the image of the shirts and text, that all gets funny in IE 8 but is fine in FF and chrome. css shows valid

the other area is the links at the bottom that start off with code blue. in FF and Chrome they are spaced correctly not in IE.

The items are pindex, prodcats, fheader and fprod for the first issue and then

sponsorbar and sponsor for the 2nd issue.

It might be worth defining "gets all funny" a litle more precisely.

the featured product black bar is a bit high, the picture of the shirts is right up against it.

floats and table cells are not meant to be mixed. The results will be unpredictable at best.

AND get rid of the tables for layout.

yes I know but I am a bit stuck at this point with what I have. I have gotten all this to work before on other sites, its just a pain.

do you see any conflicting css properties that would cause this?

I took that particular page and pulled the html and yanked the tables out of it.

http://outdoorsindoors.net/DEV/MLB/i...roducts/inotab

Still the same results in IE vs FF. This would lead me to believe that either the tables higher up in the CMS are causing the issue, or I just flat out hoked up some of the css elements

ok, worked on it a good bit over the weekend and made SOME progress.

version without tables
http://outdoorsindoors.net/DEV/MLB2/

now the IE vs FF issue is different.

in IE, the navigation at the top is not vertically centered but is in FF (FIXED THIS)
in IE the image ticker in the middle of the page is centered but is NOT in FF (FIXED THIS as well.)

Fixed both issues, ill keep moving on to the other location where I had a problem
