Hi there, can someone take a look at this page and perhaps steer me in the right direction?

http://www.bluegreenaspen.com/inthenews/index.php

that page does not look correct in IE.... not sure why. Font size is bigger than firefox or chrome or any other legit browser.

Hmm, IE 7 and 8 I believe... I had my friend look at it and she said it looked fine too so it must be in ie 7 and 8 as I thought the same when I booted it up on my crappy pc in ie9.

On a related note, does anyone know of a good and free program to view stuff in IE on your mac???

Yeah I'll try to use that for now. In the meantime, do you happen to know what would cause the font to look weird in IE 7 and 8?

I believe IE has a larger default font size than most browsers. Although checking on several computers, the sizes look the same on my end, perhaps your friend's settings are different on her machine.

Hmm... well thanks for checking man. Will clarify with her and see what the story is, this client and her coworkers were all saying the same thing but I've checked, had friends check, and you've checked and everything seems to look the same.

Depends on your OS as well.

I've had problems with font sizes being bolder/larger (even using the same browser) on Mac systems compared to Windows.

Hmm.. not true, default font size for browsers is 16px. Could be a browser setting in IE, it lets you choose small, medium, large, extra large etc.

I looked at it in IE7 and IE8, it looks fine to me.

One thing I did see -- you have not defined a background color on body or your main container. My default windows background color is set to a pale pink (for visual reasons) and what I see in IE is white boxes at the top and center, surrounded by PINK. What if someone sets their default bg color to a screaming orange or something?? ALWAYS define a default bg color, even if it's just white.

Strange, I believe I remember seeing a few of the sites that way in IE in the past.

Although I pretty much NEVER use IE anyway, so my settings / memory may be a bit fuzzy in that regard.

Could it perhaps be as simple as that the people who are seeing these big fonts have unintentionally used the zoom function (normally holding CTRL and scrolling the mouse wheel)? In most browsers today the entire page is "zoomed" in proportion, but I vaguely remeber that older IE version only enlarged text while zooming.

Okay.... the client gave me the wrong address to look at.

THIS is the url of where things are indeed looking different in IE than in firefox.

http://zgmail.zgtec.com/pro/display....02581ae5b76145

Not sure what could be causing it.

There a reason why there's so many (deprecated) font elements and inline styles? There's nothing in the <head> element either.

I'd clean up the HTML of the page first.

The reason why there are so many inline styles is because that link as well as this one below for another example, are actually just old email campaigns that are used on thier website.

I've removed the <head></head> tags in the source code, but it doesn't seem to make a difference, any other ideas? Would be greatly appreciated.
