Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but...

Is there a way to turn off a script when using Firebug? I have site that is using a fading slider to display images and I need to adjust a div. Because the script keeps changing the sliders, Firebug keeps moving.

I thought I could do this in the last version of Firebug; since the upgrade to FF and FB I cannot find where to stop the scripts.

You can, by only having the script executed if the browser is not Firefox. But you'd better post this question in the Javascript forum.

Firebug has no option to disable a specific script. You should either use Firebug's built-in debugger and add breakpoints or use a tool like NoScript.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Firefox in stead of Firebug.
