These resources from the stickies should give you what you need to solve the problem. If not, post back and we'll have a look. The short answer is needing to clear the float after the long section, either with a clearing div or the other methods mentioned in the articles. May still need a min-height on the middle section, but I doubt it.

Your #sidebar has a position absolute. A clear:both will not help you.
You have to float:right your #sidebar (with position:static) and put it before your #main DIV. After this, you can have a clear:both at your #footer DIV
