i tried this: #clipme {clip: rect(auto,auto,auto,50px);}

i tried all of these: a) including absolute positioning in the css; b) using a css class instead of a div id, c) using <span> instead of div.

i also tried assigning the name attribute inside the iframe, but that didn't work and the whole iframe didn't even show up in firefox

any help would be appreciated, thanks!

What are you attempting to achieve? If you gave us more details about what you wish to use this as and for, then it will be easier for us to comment.

Thanks,

I can't think of a way you can affect the page inside an Iframe to chop off the copyright info

Just ignore my last post. I have chronic stupidity.

I agree with chris, is it for you to take off the copyright and disclaimer?

And finally, wouldn't it be easier just to set the scrollbars to none, and change the size of the frame so that it gives you the desired effect?

fyi it's not for violating anyone's copyright

i have a cms-like application that is generating navigation buttons at the bottom that do not correspond with the design. since im bad in php, i dunno how to remove it quick solution: embed the dynamic page in an iframe and show only the content...

but i guess this is not possible... cant find any info on the net...

There may well be an include template page that has the code in for the page footer or if it's all database driven a page footer column.

Are you using Mambo as your CMS? If not, then you should be. It is one of the best free ones out there.

And if you look through the folders of your CMS, then you are sure to find the button images, just replace them with your own. And the position of the buttons on your page is controlled by either a CSS file or HTML (it may also be XML).
