I'm starting my first project (www.anvilclans.com) and I'm having ALL kinds of trouble. I'm in that "I understand the concept, I just can't make it work" stage. I've been a graphic artist for years, I figure that this stuff should come pretty naturally, but I'm struggling!

Does anyone know where I can find a list of parameters that I can manipulate with CSS and the variables I can change?

Also let's discuss the advantages of internal vs external style sheets.

Thanks, guys.

www.w3schools.com

having a external css is always better and suggested as well.

u separate the content and the display parameters thereby u can modify the display anytime u want by modifying just a single file compared to modifying each and every page.

I would have to agree with praveen! By keeping the content and style seperated it makes the coding clean. When you have all you style hardcoded into the page it can become very difficult to search through the code to correct errors or even update. With an external file you can simply call up the style for each page instead of having to hardcode it to every page. Thus making site wide changes a lot easier as there is only one style sheet file that would have to be changed.
