Totally centered box with dynamic images around

Hi, what I'm trying to achieve is to have a page with a totally centered box (both vertically and horizontally) in the middle and around it having dynamic margins with background images. Actually the images around are often bigger than the browser window but I don't want to have scroll bars: the margins are needed just to fill the screen.

Centering background images is a whole lot easier than centering boxes.
