I'm trying to add a glow to text. I've used text-shadow, which works in Safari, but my code for IE doesn't work:
Code:
	filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Glow(Color=#FFFFFF, Strength=10);
My test page is here: http://www.siriusad.com/glowtest.html

What am I doing wrong? Does IE 6 still support this?

It's a proprietary property and it's not going to work in Firefox or Opera either.
If you want a glow, why not make it as a graphic ?

Yes, I know it's not going to work in FF or others (I'm surprised FF hasn't adopted the CSS3 text-shadow element yet.), but its not an essential design element. Just additional style. If I make it a graphic I can't change either the text or the style globally easily, and it can't be used for dynamic text. But back to my question - why isn't it working? I've used it according to MS's own page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/a...lters/glow.asp

CSS3 isn't fully supported by ANY browser yet.
There are ways to get a shadow on text via CSS in FF:

As for IE.. dunno.. I won't use proprietary filters but it works here:
