I am probably just missing something simple, but I just can't seem to find it. The problem occurs in IE, but not in Firefox. The page displays as expected when it loads, but when the mouse passes over any of the navbar buttons, the content of several divs above the navbar disappears. If the page is scrolled up, and then back down, the content is visible again. Refreshing the page does nothing. Reloading the page with "Go" causes the content to be displayed again, but this may simply be because the page reloads scrolled to the top.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The page can be found at

http://pending.bigdwebspinner.com/blessings-art/

I'm not sure why I can't access the page directly when I preview this post, but if you click the link above, then click on the "classes" button, then click on the "Children's Art" link, you'll be there. Scroll to the bottom, and then pass the mouse over the navbar. As you mouseover, watch the content directly above the navbar. You must use IE, as the problem does not occur in Firefox. I'm not sure about any other browsers (Navigator or Opera) as I haven't tested those.

The path to the css file is

http://pending.bigdwebspinner.com/bl...s-art/main.css

Thanks!!!

What you're seeing is called the Peek-a-boo bug. You can read about it and how to solve it here:

Thanks again Red!!! Once again you have come to the rescue. I was able to use the second fix. By adding a property of "height: 100%;" to the float container the problem was solved.

Hopefully someday all browsers will be compliant and these problems will all be history. Have you found compliance issues with other browsers besides IE? I have only been testing in Firefox and IE. Should I test in others e.g. Navigator or Opera?

Thanks again for your help.

IE is the one plagued by the most bugs. IE 7 will fix SOME of them, not all. I generally develop using FF as my main preview, then test in Opera and lastly make necessary adjustments for IE. I don't have access to a Mac to test those, nor do I bother with Netscape.
