Now look at it in IE and I have more choppy bgs!
is there something I'm doing wrong? (besides the png in ie)
I don't see anything wrong in FF, but it is ugly in IE, but then IE gets it wrong anyway.
The 'weird stuff' is not weird at all. The way you've laid it out is likely part of the problem. I would not have that big wide top section the way you have it, I would make the top section of your box a separate header <div> with the curved box top as BG. The #nav sits inside the header as text. Use margins to position it vertically where I want it, then put the rest of the box to follow it.

ok. I redid it. And with no margins. It looks waaaayyy better in both, But I still have some problems. I read your response LadynRed but I don't know if it still applies. I am still working on the png's so please excuse.
