I don't know which site you are referring to, but you can round off tables and boxes using an image.

Sorry I meant to post the link

http://www.htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/example/

Could someone post a very small example of how to do this. I've tried playing around with images before but it ended up making my site VERY image intensive and took a long time to load - I don't think I was doing it right.

Also, you'll notice on the background of the menus there is some light grey lines. If you could show an example of that too, that would be great. Well... I know how to make the lines in the background but I guess my main question is how big do I make the graphic file. If I can get the pattern I want with a graphic file that is 2px big, do I do that and let it repeat the rest of the time, or is it better to make it bigger???

Code:
li ul {
	display: none;
	position: absolute;
	top: 100%;
	left: 0;

	font-weight: normal;
	background: url(images/ddbg3.gif) bottom left no-repeat;
	padding: 0.5em 0 1em 0;
	border-right: solid 1px #7d6340;
}
"bottom left" they aligned their background image so it looks curved. Outside the round off it is transparent.

Sorry no example.
