Looks to me as if it's tiling the background and that bottom area is the start of the repeat ? I don't have Safari, so I can only rely on what I see on BrowserCamp.

Not if you only want it to tile along the X-axis, which it appears that you do.
What happens if you save your background image as a JPG instead of a PNG file? Sometimes things match up properly then.

I fixed it by making it a gif. Thanks. Now I got to fix the links in IE and safari.
