quick question; is it possible to do multiple backgrounds for one class style?

e.g one for each corner of the style without doing more styles

As far as I know the only browser to support multiple background images is safari. I did find this article, but it's a bit messy if you wanna give it a shot

Unfortunately it's one background per element or class or ID. Would I be right if I guess you're trying to do something like create rounded corners around an element?

If so check out spiffy corners. I think there might be some newer versions of the same basic idea too.

There's a CSS3 specification for the border-radius property that allows for rounded corners with some really simple CSS, but it doesn't work yet in you know which broswer.

If you're not looking for rounded corners just pretend I wasn't here.

Yes I want rounded corners. Thanks for the links.

However, I have them setup with images BUT it is VERY VERY flimsy how I have gone about it, I cannot change the width and I suspect that the little buggers are stretching the margin of the page in Firefox

I think with the spiffy corners you'll be able to change the width of your elements and have the corners adjust easily enough. I remember reading another article that improved upon the spiffy corners a little, but I can't seem to find it and probably never bookmarked the page.

You might be able to find it searchng for spiffly corners since I think they used the spiffy name in the title of the article and throughout the copy. If I can find it again I'll post that link as well.

I was really hoping the border-radius property would work with IE7, but I don't think it does. So much easier to just add a line of code instead of having to deal with getting the images in there.

This is a very cool tool I just found the other day:
http://www.spiffybox.com/

Put in your colors for your box, the sizes, and it'll spit out the code and the graphics for you !
