Hi folks
I thought it would be nice to add a choice of blog readers in a dropdown like this, taken from the Stu Nichols collection:
http://ied.gospelcom.net/ablogdropdown.html
It works ok I hope in different browsers?
I have three questions:
1) the visble top graphic, if you don't hover the list, is going to be changed to something like 'add to any system'
This, of course, does not need to be a link. However, although I can replace it by a plain graphic and it still works in FF, if it is not a real hyperlink it stops being visible in IE6.
So, I have changed it to return false, and will make it link to a hidden tiny iframe for noscript people, unless there is any other way of stopping it being a hyperlink, and it will still display in IE?
2) I've put a little arrow highlighter on each menu item. But I can't find a way of stopping that appearing on the top item, for IE6. Any ideas?
3) Also, In FF, the little arrow hover thing is also appearing halfway down the list permanently as well as on hover for each item. But changing CSS to .feed li :hover{ or .feed ul li :hover{
stops the menu working in IE6.
By the way, there is one thing I don't understand. This page contains only 9 small graphics, all about 2k. Yet on a dialup connection, I can see the green loading thing in Firefox indicating the page is taking several seconds to load or refresh. Still happens if you remove the CSS completely.
Blessings and thanks
Tony
