I'm trying to float an image gallery of links (all the brick squares) inside another div .

It works in mozilla, but in at least a couple other browsers the image links in the gallery are output underneath the container div. How do I fix this?

In IE 6 you are getting what is called float drop - the gallery div is falling below the left side because it's too wide to fit horizontally. You have to make allowances for IE broken box model:

Your thumbnail class has a 56px margin ..(28 + 28) for left and right sides. Add that to the width of the div + padding and you have an IE nightmare.
