Thanks for the info, that'll help a lot. Knowing what I can and can't do goes a long way toward figuring this out.
I'm sure it's not that bad. Once I know where things go and how to get them to do what I want I'm sure it will go a lot better.

Still haven't figured out why my sub-domains won't work. I'm wondering if it's because I used the re-direct to get to the index.php file.

I've done similar something similar with having stylesheets for a single page or section. I've also done things like put all color styles into one stylesheet and maybe the layout styles in another.

I've had some clients who wanted to be able to make changes to their sites after I was done and wanted to protect certain styles where they could cause damage and so moved those styles to a separate sheet.

Mostly I try to get everything into one sheet if I can.
