Hi guys.

I've been trying to create some vertical text in CSS.

Using:

writing-mode: tb-rl;
filter: flipv fliph;

I have managed to do it in IE, but is it possible to make this happen in Firefox?

Thanks

Never tried it myself, but maybe make a div 1em wide and type your text with spaces?

Something like this:

T h i s i s a s e n t e n c e .

Actually, I meant the text to be written vertically, so tht for it to look right you have to tilt your head.

Ohhhhh. That I couldn't tell you, then. Never tried that with plain text before.

I'd try a width of 1em or 16 to 24 pixels. You might want a negative top padding or margin as well. Basically you want your div to be one character wide, so it'll be forced to wrap. Only, I think when the content first tries to render, it will wrap an empty line before giving up and breaking the word apart.

That's what I was thinking with my post, John. My problem is that I think he wants a full 90-degree turn of the letters so that you have to turn your head sideways to read it.

No way to do that that I am aware of, at least not with CSS.
However, you should be able to make it work with this method: http://www.swfir.com - rotation settings from -359 to +359.
