Hi all,

Site in question: http://ertc.trudeauconsulting.com

In FF, the pinkish boxes fit inside my borders perfectly but they bleed over in IE7... Will I need to use a hack to set the margins differently depending on browser version? I'd really like to get IE to have spacing like what I'm currently seeing in FF.

Do y'all need to see the code for this or has someone else had this problem? (the 1px border is actually a TD border within a table, the pink shaded box is a CSS class within it).

Your problem looks like your CMS. DotNetNuke is creating some really messed up code there.

Yea. I'm not sure that template will EVER look the same in FF and IE. Try and find a cleaner template to use.

Ok thanks guys - maybe I'll try replacing the TD border with a DIV wrapper and see if that helps. I'll have to see if the latest version of DNN cleans up some of its code.

IE 7, so far, doesn't need much in the way of hacks, I think there's only been one mentioned since it's release.

My best advice - Do not use a CMS, use a WYSIWYG editor such as dreamweaver then clean up the code manually

I wish I could follow your advice rogem002, but my skills right now only extend as far as basic html/aspx, and I couldn't replicate the interface that the CMS offers (i.e. logins/security, calendars, and all the database interaction associated with that). Maybe someday!

Well turns out the client didn't want the pink boxes anyways so it's all a moot point for now.
