I am wanting to create a 'Glow' Effect using CSS. I'm pretty sure it can be done. I just can't work it out myself.

I would like to make this site by using no images for the black shadow/glow around the white boxes.

Any suggestions on how to do this? Would LOVE to know.

Thanks.

using no images
Impossible, Well apart from in Internet Explorer. Where you could use a "glow" filter

There is a method to do drop shadows w/o images.
http://www.webtoolkit.info/css-drop-shadow.html

I haven't ever tried this so I don't know if it would work the way you want it to.

I've used that before. The "drop shadow" is just a div with a solid backgroung color. Works the same as using shadow graphics, only instead of the image it is a solid background color. I have seen this technique in photo galleries as well.

thanks for the sites.

I think using a png or gif will be the way to go for the best look.
