hi,
on http://calm.dansgalaxy.co.uk/feedbac...miliesfeedback
as you can see i ahve the curly corner thing... as you can see under the navi it has it that one has position: relative; which makes the curly corner image go to the corner and look right...

but when i put them in the main content area, when the navi submenus sslid out the text within the div floats over the top of the submenu, but without position: relative it works fine except the corner goes offline slightly and ruins the effect...

How to i compensate for the Position: relative; ?...

I have tried adding to the margins and stuff but has no effect...

someone please?

Thanks
Dan

Ok, I'm not seeing the behavior you describe in FF or IE 6. Is it only happening in IE 7?

oh, i see what you are talking about.
you have a border around your content.
you will have to take that border off, for starters,
then it will go away.
then you have a few options.
i would suggest just making the background a slightly different color, taking off the border. then matching other side to that color on the curly page.
that would be the easiest, then you create borders by a color change w/o all the hassle of putting in images on all the sides.

Dan, I believe the solution to this problem is in the z-index. I managed to get it to work properly in Firefox last night leaving the position: relative on your event box and adding a z-index of 1100 on .menu.

Unfortunately IE 6 wouldn't co-operate and I was just too tired last night to fight with IE. I'll see what I can find today.

heres me talking about it awhile ago on another thread, i didnt notice what it did to the curly corne things...

removing the position: relative seems to make the menu work in all browers, but the curly thing not..
is there no way i can likemake the innerdiv just move doen a couple of px and to the right a couple od px?... (which is basically what the position: relative did.
