Hi, I am having problems creating an image gallery within my site. I bascially want to be able to have thumbnails in my right hand column, then when you click (or hover - which ever is easier and I believe IE 6 doesnt like the click function) on the thumbnail, a larger version of the photo displays within a div set in the left hand column, and for the enlarged image to display in the same place upon rollover or click of each thumbnail.

I have managed to get it to work that when you rollover a thumbnail an enlarged image pops up, however it only allows me to specify where the enlarged image will display via a margin from the left and top of the page, and I looking to get it to display within a seperate div however I dont know how to specify this within the css.

If you have managed to understand my problem and have any idea how it can be resolved any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's because you can't do that with just css. You'll have to use some scripting for that.

oh I was under the impression this could be done via css.

If it means dabbling with scripts I probably wont bother unless anyone knows of any relatively simply scripts available which could do this?

You CAN do an image swap on HOVER with just css, but you cannot target another div on Hover.

Have you checked out LightBox ? It's a neat gallery with several mods around the web.
