IE6 is a six-year-old browser with an available replacement version.
Sooner or later (likely sooner as new PCs ship with Vista), IE6 will be phased out or at least a non-factor.
I have seen just as many silly things happen with Firefox as I have with IE.
I have seen features implemented with IE (e.g. the gradient filter) that I would like to see implemented with other browsers.
All browsers have pissed me off time and again.
An open source browser will ultimately lead to more problems than IE ever could (it's only a matter of time before the Starwares and Clarias of the world start messing with it.)
It's not just you, but I think it's a situation that has been blown way out of proportion and has just gotten silly over the course of time.
Amen to that. I don't hate any individual browser, but I hate the fact that there are individual browsers and that I have to check for problems on both, plenty of times of which I have had problems on BOTH that were COMPLETELY different.
